Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Siam Curated iOS app and siamcurated.com. The Siam Curated app and its in-app purchases are provided by Matthew Phillips, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. This website is informational; all purchases take place in the app. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these terms.

The service

The Siam Curated app offers audio guides to Thailand’s great places, tools for building and keeping travel itineraries, and an AI travel assistant. Some content is free; some is available by one-off purchase inside the app.

Your account

You need an account (an email address and first name) to use most features. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email; keep access to that email secure, as anyone with access to it can access your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app.

Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID, under Apple’s Media Services terms. Prices are shown before purchase. Audio guide purchases are one-off and permanent; AI assistant access is a one-off purchase covering a fixed period (currently 90 days), after which it may be purchased again. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policy — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

The AI travel assistant

The AI assistant generates suggestions and itineraries automatically. It is a planning aid, not a guarantee: opening hours, prices, transport times and travel conditions change, and AI-generated answers can be wrong. Verify important details — especially safety-related ones — before relying on them. Your use of AI suggestions is at your own judgement.

What we do not provide

• We do not book or arrange flights, accommodation, transfers or tours on your behalf
• We do not act as a travel agent or hold any travel agency licence
• We do not provide travel insurance
• We do not take responsibility for third-party services mentioned in itineraries or content

All bookings with hotels, restaurants, guides and other third parties remain your responsibility. Our content is based on knowledge and research but we cannot guarantee availability, pricing or standards of any third party.

Our content

The audio guides, writing, imagery and other content in the app and on the website are owned by Siam Curated or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own travel. They may not be reproduced, distributed, publicly performed, resold or published without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems, no interfering with the service’s operation, no using the AI assistant to generate unlawful content, and no automated scraping of content.

Availability, liability and changes

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Travel inherently involves uncertainty — we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control including political events, natural disasters, changes in local conditions, or the actions of third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited; otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales; if you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be flagged in the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
